It might not be a region where many tourists go (at least not many foreign tourists) but that has it's advantages too, for one it isn't as expensive as going to London, especially the hotel is much cheaper than what I paid last year for 4 nights in a (similar) London hotel.
I'm especially looking forward to going to Coventry since I've never been there. But also things we never did in Birmingham (Cathedral, Back to Backs, Jewelry Quarter).
