Thank you for the offer but I want something with a bit more protection than the official ones. They tend to not provide much in the way of screen protection. I have noticed that across the board with all the ereader companies. My guess is they want you to break it so you buy another one.

Being an avid ereader household (2 PRS-505, 1 PRS-600, 2 PRS-300, 1 PRS-650 and one Nook wifi), we try to protect our devices well and make them last as long as possible. The only ones that are no longer with us is my old 505 which I dropped and my wife's Nook which she sold to go back to the 505.

I am currently using the Case Logic EVA case for the 300. it hold it in quite well but the insert does not fit the 650. I pulled the insert out which, while it does allow the device to fit in flush, it slides around. I am thinking at this point to use a polycarbonate reinforcement from one of my many homebrew 505 cases and get some adhesive foam sealing strip for doors to pad around it. Before this, I really liked my 'booksafed' Moleskine sketch book but it was difficult to get to the power switch and i had to remove it to charge or sync it. The Moleskine is a hard cover so it provides a good amount of protection.

I am considering the CoverUp one that umpi posted. It is available in the US on eBay starting around $24 for the synthetic leather (read as vinyl) cover.
