So, soon after making the pronouncement that "incest is not my thing", I start reading
this:
The Romance of Lust, or Early Experiences. I found the book here in the library. What caught my attention was the label of "Victorian Era Erotica", what this really is, is straight up
porn!
What's one of the first things we learn? The main character has engaged in nightly sessions of "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" with his younger sisters. Oh, yay (sarcasm). Of course, things only progress, in a very round about way, from there.
This whole situation has me quite conflicted as they are clearly just "kids" (well young teens) exploring their sexuality, and there is no psychological manipulation going on. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it, if said kids were not also siblings.
However, my biggest issue with the story so far (I've read a little under a quarter of the book), is that the kid is a darn Energizer bunny, with a ridiculous amount of stamina. One insatiable woman, then two frisky girls, then the same insatiable woman, all on the down-low, and in just a matter of hours... really?
Don't get me wrong, its an entertaining read (incest aside), I'm just having a difficult time "believing" any of it.
