Contrast is the wrong term to use. By traditional definition contrast is the difference between the lightest section of the screen and the darkest. So in that respect, they have an identical contrast.

I had the Kindle originally and was unhappy with the RESOLUTION, which means pixels per inch. I went searching for a higher resolution display and all I found was the 350 so I bought it and have been happy ever since.
