I have both, and that's true. But in terms of PDF, the DXG is painfully slow and lack of a lot of features. If something is small and you need to zoom, it is slower than the iPad.
If editing is not a must on a PDF, the Kindle DXG is an ok choice. But if editing is a must and the reading will be indoor mostly, iPad is the way to go, with GoodReader I mean.
A shame Amazon has not upgraded the Kindle DXG firmware. There is a lot of potential on that device.
