I have been battling an Internet and audiobook addiction the last few years. I grew up loving to just sit down and read but, as a grown-up, I always seem to be doing something around my house or checking the inet while listening to audiobooks. I also have a long commute. At least I get my stories in.
I have to say, though, that my Kobo has helped! I had hoped it would. In less than a month, I've read Goblin Market, Pub Walks in Underhill Country, Mrs. Fry's Diary, and The Other Mr. Darcy on my Kobo and I'm in the process of reading The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet and The Alchemist. I catch a few pages here and there during breaks at work and at night after I get home. These add up but I haven't really been able to make myself sit still and read as long as I would like to but the Kobo is helping.
Oh, I usually have some music or the TV on something unobjectionable and backgroundy (like the History Channel) while I am reading.
