In gingerbread, and I would assume honeycomb as well, when you plug the NC into a computer a "USB Connected" item shows up in the notifications. You can tap on that and have it connect a drive on the computer. In CM7 this defaults to the internal memory, which is nice because then you can access the same books whether booted from the SD card or internal memory.
