Rudolf Stratz (1864-1936) war ein erfolgreicher Romanschriftsteller, der jedoch heute weitgehend in Vergessenheit geraten ist.

Madlene ist ein historischer Roman aus dem Großen Bauernkrieg in der Reformationszeit (1524/25).
