Short answer: No more sensitive than any other e-ink reader.
Slightly longer answer:
Normal touchscreens use a capacitive or resistive layer on top of the screen which is transparent and probably made of glass or some other easily broken material.
The x50 series of readers there is no extra layer on top of the standard e-ink screen. As I understand it touch recognition in the x50 Sony readers works by having an array of infrared LEDs along in the body of the device itself along a vertical and a horizontal edge of the screen, with receivers in the opposite edges. When your finger touches the screen it interrupts the "grid" of infrared beams and the device figures out the coordinates of the point where the light was interrupted and registers it as a "touch".
