I believe the answer depends on how the Story HD will handle resolution.

A difference in resolution can make the text easier to read, but only if the size of the letters remains the same onscreen. To see what this means in practical terms, go to an Apple Store and read text on the iPhone 4, which uses a higher ppi for its "retinal" display, then look at the screen on the iPad or iPad2 (which is fine except for the resolution). You'll see, as I did, that the iPad's text is noticably harder to read, which is why some college students who own it have been reporting eye fatigue.

A medium-to-large displayed font with a higher ppi level would likely be easier to read, and I believe any increase in pixel depth would be better for viewing things like pdfs.

Whatuser: What's your source for the info about the SHD's screen manufacturer and type? Is it from specs/reporting online or are you basing the theory on what the Story uses currently?
