for me but it looks like what i have read in the last day about this gift is it will be more of a BRICK than of any use due to B&N making it more than impossible to do much with it outside the shores of the USA Continent.

Of course i want to Root it and run Android's Honeycomb but now it seems it needs to be Registered 1st with B&N and that looks impossible. Most annoying thing is that they are constantly sending me emails about new titles for the Nook and that i should get one (for the last year).. for all kinds of reasons but when you do and a family friend goes out of their way to help out (and here's no obvious DO NOT BUY ONE WARNING IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO USE IT IN THE USA on their website) you have to really ask if B&N know what they are trying to achieve.

Still, oh well, just going to have to wait and see what happens. Seems all really silly in this day and age to me...
