For thems what don't know about it... "Shoe-Goo" rocks!
The original company went out of business, the formula was bought up by another that put the product out in several different guises; 'Shoe-Goop,' 'Plumber's-Goop,' 'Sportsman's Goop,' and finally repackaged the original 'Shoe-Goop.' It's all the same stuff, and it's fantastic! I use it much more than duct tape!
It's perhaps the very best 'toolbox' in a tube you'll ever find. It has a solid 'grab,' holding on to just about everything except vinyl, cures flexible, and is as strong as a rubber sole! I coated the bottom (think 'crutch tip') of a rattan hiking staff I made 35 years ago, used it to walk the Long Trail, the Appalachian Trail, and most of the John Muir Trail, and that bottom is still just as solid and strong as the day I put it on.
I've glued boots, mended canvas tents, furniture, fixed car and motorcycle parts, broken toys, broken water pipes, cloth, stone, made wire insulation blocks, key fobs, and... get this... actually used it once or twice for what it was originally intended... fixing worn boot heels! When ever I need a really secure bond, it's the stuff I use!
I keep a tube of it in clear, black, and white, but find I use the clear more than any of the others. I doubt a week goes by that I don't find some use for the stuff!
