With all the talk of Karma on MR. it got me thinking about examples of real-life karma, and how sometimes what goes around does come around, both positive and negative. Thought I'd kick-off with an example from my life.
A few years ago, I was an account director for a well known company (at least in our industry), looking after a large client. A new operations director joined the company, bringing with him a "pet" consultant. They decided to make a name for themselves and claimed that they could transform my account, and that I would have to report to the consultant during this process. I was less than impressed, as you can imagine, especially when I saw the plans and how much they would cost to implement. I decided my role had been compromised, and left the company soon after.
The Karma? Well after 6 months and £1,000,000 down the drain, both the ops director and the consultant were fired, as their plans came to nothing. I don't feel bitter, but it did give me a little smile when I found out
