Kindle Charging Behavior

It's been so long since I last charged my Kindle, and so few times before that, that I've forgotten how it should act. :-)

I was down to a low charge... didn't get a warning or anything, though I did turn on WiFi to download a purchase last night and the battery indicator then had an exclamation point on it, which went away when I turned off the radio.

So, I charged all night... put it on the charger at around midnight and took if off at around 7:15, so it had a little over 7 hours to charge, but the light was still orange. Should I be concerned? Shouldn't it have reached full charge in that amount of time?
