Why would an E Reader offer the capacity of a 32gb SD card and then not support any more than 7% of the capacity?
I have collected ebooks for 10 or so years and have long been looking for a suitable reader (anyone remember the Rocket Ebook Reader?). The reasons many of us have more than 1000 books are wide and varied, I read 10-20 books at a time and I don't want to have to connect to a computer every time I want to swap books, and lose my place. I have spent too many years with my ebooks on my computer.
The biggest gripes with the Nook are problems with storage and access and search and sort functions. Almost none of these are issues with other ebook readers, so essentially, the problem is just sloppy, incompetent, and arrogant programming of their firmware. This is especially annoying after the many, many suggestions are ignored with the 1.5 firmware.
Those of you who can't see the reason to have more than a few books at a time will probably be content with the Nook. Those of us who can't see why Nook won't do what all the other readers already do will probably do what I did; but their next readers from someone else.
