Ms. Rawlings has the right to decide with whom to publish her books, and in what format, including illustrations, cover art, etc. Writing is a form of art. Would you demand that an artist be required to release JPGs of their new paintings, or call them stupid for not doing so? Or demand that a musician record a live concert so that you could hear it without being present? Let's remember that art isn't a commodity and it is self-centered and silly to expect to be able to control another person's creation. Let's be grateful for the creativity authors have shared with us, and respect their right to do as they think best.
