are you talking about the 'openers' that are available on a book.
i use kobobooks so not sure how borders works but i'm guessing its the same way.
i highly doubt there is a way to download the book off of the site and load it to the kobo.
by having it online or through the desktop app only they can lock parts of the book and let you read the quick preview in hopes that you fully purchase it, at which point you can download and send to the device.
