I have to admit, a good few categories of Manga art are rather beyond the pale for most Western sensibilities. Do we need to accept Westerners have a right to consume these images if they are generally thought to be offensive to our culture, but are okay in the eyes of Japanese culture? My personal view is that they're pretty grim, and I think of myself as being fairly liberal-minded.
