I asked what was causing the problem, and he referred me to the ADE user forums for help (in other words, we won't help you but maybe one of our customers can ). I ended up uninstalling ADE, and deleting all registry entries and folders pertaining to the program. I reinstalled the program and authorized my account. I closed the program and opened it again...where the setup assistant proceeded to run again, telling me I needed to activate my account. ADOBE STINKS!

As an IT professional, I've never been a fan of their products, this debacle only confirms my distaste. (Don't get me started on their bandwidth chewing auto update that seems to happen weekly. Do you know what it does to your network bandwidth when 250 computers decided to download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader all at the same time!!! )

So...Python is my new best friend along with Calibre. Please forgive the rant...I needed to vent. I'm better now...really, I am...can you take this coat off of me...it seems the sleeves are missing....

I installed ADE and Kindle4PC on a VM. I then registered both. And when I buy a book that is DRM infested, I download it on that VS (it's the only reason it gets started), clear the infestation and then move the clean file to my library. I de-installed ADE from my main computer.
