While I don't read or find manga interesting, I believe the threat of censoring it is greater than any of the content between the covers. The same goes for all art, music, and literature. The 80's had satanic panic, but the songs weren't slaying real virgins. If you read any Marquis de Sade it doesn't mean the deeds are getting carried out. If you ring a bell, an angel isn't really getting wings.

For anyone that wishes for anything else that really matters to go uncensored, the censorship of ideas and expression should be frightening.
