Actually Sensual, I have heard that from Amazon. Can't recall where I read it but somewhere in the IT press Amazon was talking about what they are working on for the future of the Kindle and solar pannels are among them. Troubble with the pannels at the moment is that they are too large to fit on a kindle and cost to much. With 2011 technology a solar powered Kindle would cost a approximatly $5,000 and would way about 750 pounds. Amazon corp said they are working on that one. Another thing they did say they are working on is the battery in the kindle, trying to get it to last longer on one charge.
