The Canadian firmware includes the Android interface along with the Kobobooks application (in English only).

Thank you for the tip about the Youtube Android app. That, and a few games will round out the tablet side of things.

I am still wondering:

1) If I purchase a DRM ebook in epub format, from say, archambault.ca, will I be able to read it with either the Kobo reader for Android or Aldiko?

2) Is it worth the trouble to install a custom firmware? What are the benefits?
