I have an iPhone. I don't read eBooks with it. I have a computer and a laptop. I don't read eBooks with either. I don't have an iPad or any other tablet. I have a Sony Reader PRS-650. It doesn't handle Kindle eBooks.
Lots of people are in a situation where they have a device they use to read eBook that doesn't handle Kindle eBooks and they do not use their computer to read eBooks.

want to use the Kindle options available to them, they can. Just like I was able to use the Nook options available to me, without buying a Nook.
