This week I've bought two books via the internet from independent bookstores (out of print academic works, one second-hand), two books from a local store in a national chain and two books on my Kindle that weren't even available here.

Sadly, we don't really have a local and independent bookstore, except for the two used bookstores and a small francophone-only bookstore (I might read two or three French-language books in a year, so that's not a big draw).

I will admit to price-checking books in the bookstore from my Kindle. If it's available and cheaper in the e-book version, I'll likely go that way, particularly with books that I'm just picking up for fun or specifically for my teaching. I'm tired of replacing paperback books for the classroom every few years so this is a plus for the e-reader!
