Perhaps it was starting with "What is the matter with people" and then listing all the reasons why Wifi is silly for you.
The "What is the matter with people" sure gives the feeling of "I am right and you are all wrong".
It is a matter of interpretation.
Kind of like "Kids these days. When I was a child we walked to school up hill, both ways, and were expected to wear our pants up around our waste". Which implies that kids today are lazy and slovenly when they were hard working and dressed properly.
