I don't know if you noticed, but btwn. step 10 and step 13 over an hour passed by. I think that was around the time I realised that I needed to eat something.

I took your advice. There's something about building a grill that seems like there should be beer involved.

Of course I'll do a photo shoot with the finished product. If for no other reason that to make sure everything is where it's supposed to be. After all, it only took me 6 hours and 3 minutes to build. My SO got home just in time to help me put the lid on and carry it out back. Hmmm... I almost think he did that on purpose.

Pics to come tomorrow. The first thing I grilled was asparagus. I grilled asparagus for the first time last week. My SO and I couldn't believe how good it was, so I bought bunches of it to grill this week. It was good, but I kept it on the grill about a min too long and charred bits of it.

While that was grilling I prepared peppery cumin and garlic chicken legs. While that was grilling I felt the need to grill something else. There was a bowl of Empire apples on the table, so I cut one in half and threw it on the grill because my S.O. said, "You can't grill apples." I said, "Of course you can." It came out so good, I cut 4 more in half and threw them on the grill w/ a little cinnamon and sugar.

I'll just say... I'm in love! Every piece of chicken was cooked perfectly. Normally there are hotter spots in different areas of the grill, but the chicken was placed from front to back on the right side and every piece was cooked exactly the same.
