Very possibly. But it is that first sentence that is the issue to me, even your edit above is still directed at the quoted passage it is replying to. (perhaps better to say "It is, but not necessarily in the way SOME PEOPLE think.....")

Thus my comment about taking care in phrasing, particularly when quoting someone.
