You are not the only cheap one aroudn here. I have a family at home and I have learned that every dollar I spend on myself is a dollar that I can't spend on them and i would much rather spend the dollar on them not me, so I tend to be very cheap with reguards to my own expenses. I never buy a hardback, too expensive. I also have a price limit of $9 for all paperbacks, that eliminates Goodkind, Grisham and the entire NY Times Best sellers.
