It is pretty much just for shopping from Kobo. However, it is super-easy to get the library books onto ADE on your computer, then put them on the Kobo that way. I even shop at the Kobo store on my computer and add those books without WiFi, too, though I do have WiFi at my house. I use it for books the same way I use my iPod for music, which was what I wanted.
I got my Kobo a couple of weeks ago for $70 - a $25 gift certificate I had for my birthday, so I got a great deal but they are even $10 less now. I am just bitter because there are a couple of books I want that are only on Amazon or, in one case, Amazon or B&N. I'm not too bitter, though. If more of that kind of thing crops up, I'll do as some smart people on this thread have suggested and get a Kindle and have 2 eReaders.
