Hyperlink styles ignored on conversion to Mobi

Hello,

I'm a relatively experienced html and css programmer. I normally use a simple text editor to create my files.

I have an ebook I made via the code editor in Sigil. Everything looks great in there and, when I import it to Calibre, it looks great in Epub as well.

But when I convert the Epub to Mobi in Calibre my CSS styles for hyperlinks are completely ignored. I've tried every possible way I can think of, from general "a" specifications in the stylesheet to just putting a "style=" command in the href itself. It all works fine in Epub but is ignored in Mobi.

I know that Mobi files ignore UL list styling, which is another thing that is driving me nuts but at least I know they ignore it and that there is nothing I can do about it. But I haven't found anybody saying that Mobi files ignore hyperlink styles. I'm about ready to pull out the last bit of hair I have.

Can anyone provide advice on hyperlinks in Mobi? Or even just confirmation that hyperlinks cannot be styled in Mobi if that is the case?

Thanks!
