Hoy seems to be using an avererage of $10 per book, which seem pretty high. If the AAP figure of $441 million is correct, the US may be well above 50%. But I'm not sure the AAP figure includes self-published books, so it may be too low, pushing the US percentage even higher...
But as kennyc (sort of) says, until everybody gives out audited figures, who knows? And why does it matter, anyway?
