Calibre and Kindle
I have 400+ books in my Calibre library, which I have used to upload to my K2 and K3. I love using metadata as the filing system.

I just found out that I'm getting my wife's hand-me-down iPad. I downloaded some Calibre addons to make my personal library more flexible and work with the iPad, but understand that all my books have to be deleted and downloaded anew from Amazon to take advantage of the flexibility.

Is there an easier way? I've done a lot of work with the metadata, cleaning authors names, etc. and hate to think of the rework that will entail. Is there a way to export the entire library to a folder, then reload the folder?

I use a MacBook Pro, by the way.

Thanks in advance for any hints you may have.
