I know I should visit mobileread.com more often , but Alexander's post about the LEO dictionary reminded me of an idea I had the other day. I've just got a 1GB SD card , and I've got the German Wikipedia on it. But I've only got a really awful German-English dictionary (Slovoed and a terrible Russian database) on my Palm. I think the LEO dictionary would be great to have on my card too (my Palm m515 doesn't have wireless internet of course, and anyway data access charges here - New Zealand - cost a fortune).

Technical issues aside, does anyone (Alexander?) know of any reason why LEO couldn't be made into a handheld database like Wikipedia? I'm not sure of copyright issues, but LEO has always seemed like semi-open source to me. Just a thought anyway.

Regards,

Geoffrey
