...yes and no. My library doesn't carry mobi books, and last I knew you had to run scripts to get the PID if the mobi file is encoded. Yeah, the DRM can be striped, but that's not something you can explain to the
average user.
In short: natively, right out of the box, the Kindle doesn't read 99% of library books.
