Yes, apple home sharing and some other systems are the same. If you lose access to the authorized computer due to crash or something you just can't de-auth it using another device.

Personally, I think a 5-6 device limit is crazy. Although, Adobe claims over time more device slots are added to your account due to anticipated attrition of old devices.

I'm still waiting for the day eBooks follow eMusic and go 100% DRM free.
