Mainly some formatting issues (The way content was displayed) using calibre to convert to mobi. I'm sure i could've worked around this, but thought it wasn't worth the time and effort.

Then there was the bigger issue. The one i thought wouldn't be a dagger, but was. The lack of library book support. In the end i returned the kindle in favor of the nook. And i must admit, i'm really glad i did. I absolutely love the nook. My two biggest concerns, the touchscreen and the speed of the device turned out to be complete non issues. In the store it was something i definitely noticed, but since owning one, I haven't had one single problem with either. I admit, the B&N store isn't as robust as amazon, but coupled with library support, it will be more than sufficient for me.

Thanks all again for all the advice. I really am loving the nook and am finally happy i've been able to settle on one device and be content!

Glad to hear you are enjoying the Nook, it really is such a joy to use. It is tough to get a true sense of the device in the store especially something like a Best Buy where you just don't know how many people have doing this or that and not having the sales reps, power them down or reset things etc. It can make things seem lagging but in reality there just not .

My friend at work had the same issue when converting books on his Kindle, this is something most kindle owners won't acknowledge here on these forums. Formating is an issue. They will always holler, "You can convert anything to mobi" but not all conversions run smooth. My friend has about 50 Stephen King books that are unreadable because of formating issues and about 100 more misc. books. Most do convert ok but this is never a guarantee.

but anywho enjoy your nook, it is really is IMHO the best general ereader feature to price available on the market.
