Do NOT adjust your sets. We have taken control of them for this message.

We have arrived in the ancestral Family farmhouse in the middle of Kyushu! Days spent riding along beautiful mountain roads, a 100k winding road along the sea, and though countless small villages. We spend a few hours touring Kumamoto Castle, climbing up to the top for a magnificent 360 degree view before heading inland to the family farm. Sister-in-law lives in the house these days, with her three grown children moving in or out as their social life dictates.
But the very best thing about getting here is..... I can drink good tea again! I've already downed four 'human' sized mugs of good black tea, and plan on four more! I was able to drink black tea on the overnight ferry as they had a big hot water dispenser.

Hey! We also go upgraded on the ferry to a much fancier room. We had purchased ordinary sleeper berths but because the boat wasn't so crowded, they bumped us up to the berths complete with private TV's! I didn:t watch any, but my wife did! I just thought it was an auspicious start to our trip.

And it was. So far, great roads, and great weather. A bit of a sprinkle late this afternoon, but we were only in it for a few minutes. We're off again tomorrow, in search of the Aso Vocano.... rumble, rumble, rumble!

Now back to tea drinking!
