Truthfully, I doubt you would be happy reading these books on any eInk reader. I edit these types of books (e.g., Williams' Hematology, Goldfrank's Toxicology, Harrison's Internal Medicine) and I'm not convinced that they are designed well enough for the standard 6-7-inch eInk device. If you don't mind reading on an LCD screen for long periods, I suggest looking at something like the Motorola Xoom.

Motorola Xoom looks awesome.. Seriously considering it. price is high- though its features r very good. hope the price comes down bcoz of ipad2 competition.
heard notion ink has same screen size n android but with some special screen. so if its really available looking into it too(budget wise looks better..:-))

thank u. ipad2 is good. came to know campbell orthopedics has a separate app for ipad(around 100$). only problem i felt the screen too glossy for prolonged reading. but i will look at it again.
