Noosa, good sir, is not a bad place to do that if I do say so myself. It gets a tad cooler in winter, though the southerners still come up here and swim, but summer swimming time tends to last about 6 months.
As for DST, we don't have it in Queensland. A lot of southeast Queensland people would like it. Me, having come from a state that had it...well, I like like watching the sun vary its rising and setting times progressively through the year, giving a sense of the change of the seasons without the jump in times. It keeps reminding me of the Big Outside that moves on no matter what's happening inside myself. So, I'm a "No" voter for implementing DST here, but there's a lot of "Yes" folk.
