First, let me preface this by saying that iTunes is a continual bafflement to me. Every time that I plug in, I cringe. It seems like every synch is different.
This is how I back up my books. I do not have it set to auto synch ever. So I plug in, drag the books from my ipad to itunes, instead of the other way around, and hope it works.
Hopefully an expert will swing by and tell us the correct way to do it.
