In the UK, we have a radio programme called Desert Island Discs that has been running for close to 70 years now. On this, famous people have to pick a number of pieces of music, a book and a luxury item that they would want to have with them if they were stranded on a desert island.
Over the almost 70 years of its existance, what has been the most popular book choice?
NB. They get the Bible and the collected works of Shakespeare as 'freebies' anyway, so it's none of those.
