Very interesting-- I have definitely seen some horrid blurbs that make me *not* want to read a book I might otherwise find interesting. Or blurbs that don't actually seem to reflect the content of the book. Those would be the most difficult to have peer reviewed, I would think, unless the peers also read the books.
