I put my wife's nook next to my Kindle, and the nook looks a little washed out compared to the Kindle. You may think it's overrated, but I can see the difference.

The big reason why I think we need a new eInk nook is battery life. My wife is getting 2-3 days on the thing. 5 at the most. My Kindle gets me about 3 weeks with wifi on.

Don't get me wrong. I love the nook. I wish my Kindle did ePub. But an eInk nook with perl and better battery life is needed to compete against what's out there now.
