Well, my first computer was a Digi-Comp (mechanical) computer, back in '64 I believe. It was a toy, but it was a working, programmable, binary computer.





My first computer that would be recognizable as a computer was the Commodore VIC-20 (it was a toss-up between that and the Sinclair ZX-80). I used it to get on CompuServe and GEnie. At work (Bell Labs) I was on the internet, mostly to other company sites, but also poking around for research, etc. Back then "cruising the internet" was a lot easier if you had a good working knowledge of UNIX.
