Personally, I'd say that a table is well-suited both graphically and semantically for a detailed table of contents such as you have there.
After all, it's not like you're using it to line up unrelated text, but yours actually functions to give 1:1:1 data on what #/name/page location the chapters have.
If it helps any, Project Gutenberg lays out their print-equivalent-with-page-numbers reproduction TOCs in tables, too.
