A new assignment...

I've been working with an old friend-turned-movie producer on something new: He's asked me to collaborate on a script for a television concept.

It is based on a 70s sci-fi "B" movie (which I am not at liberty to name at this point), which we hope to expand and develop into a serious and modern SF miniseries. We're trying to combine the iconic elements of the original movie with brand new elements that fill out the somewhat thin original premise and give it depth and (dare I say it?) sense. We hope to sell it to pay-cable in miniseries form.

As I've never written a TV or movie script, this is proving tricky for me, but I think the project has enough going for it to make it worth my while to dig into it. Not to mention, the possibility that it could lead to future work in television or movie scripting.

I'm still working on my draft sequel to Verdant Skies, but it has been pushed back by this new project, I don't know by how much.
