Congratulations. Flip the Frog's debut in "Fiddlesticks" was the first cartoon using two-strip Technicolor.

Flip was the brainchild of Ub Iwerks, created after leaving the Disney studios. He is also credited with creating Mickey Mouse, but the Disney studios dispute that claim.

Flip had a curious history, as his appearance changed from film to film. In Fiddlesticks, he was clearly a frog. In The Cuckoo Murder Case, he was as much a frog as Mickey was a mouse. In later cartoons, his appearance was very human.
