Those using keyboard shortcuts likely lever noticed, as Control-N has always opened a new windows, and Control-T has always opened a new tab.
And I seldom use that menu in any case. I open my bookmarks file in the Sidebar, and the default action on clicking one is open in new tab. (I use the Tab Mix Plus addon, which can force everything to open in a new tab.)

I may have exaggerated a
wee bit. Maybe not quite a hundred windows, but I did open a few of them. It's becoming second nature now, but it did take longer than a half hour.
