Sure, price doesn't have to reflect the cost that goes into making an item, but treating consumers like they're stupid and can't figure it out is not necessarily the right path to take either.

But the idea that one should pay a dollar or two is absurd. And the e-book prices
are lower than the comparable hardcover prices. The only time they're not, as far as I can tell, is when stores deeply discount the paper books.
