When your device is connected and the task wheel (at the bottom) stops spinning, it should an icon(s) on the button-bar for your device storage sections. Click it

Now you should see the books on that storage section of your device.
select some books (no tick mark, indicates not found in your library). Right-click: 'Add to Library'
